Outside China, there’s no Valorant Mobile release date. China got it August 19, 2025. Can’t download it anywhere else. I went through Reddit, Discord, Riot’s accounts. Same story. 2026, no actual date.

Valorant Mobile Release Date: What Riot Has Confirmed

June 2021, Riot announced it. Four years of nothing. April 21, 2025, SPARK event, trailer dropped. China pre-reg opened same day. After that things moved.

August 19, 2025, ChinaJoy. Full launch in China. Fearless Covenant is the name they use there. No date has come out since for anywhere else.

Why the Global Valorant Mobile Release Date Is Delayed

Lightspeed Studios built this, the PUBG Mobile team. Riot handles publishing. China went first. It worked. But you still can’t play it outside China.

Why it’s taking so long:

• Anti-cheat: iOS and Android both sandbox apps. Vanguard needs kernel-level access. Can’t do that on a phone. Riot has to build a different system that still catches cheaters in ranked. That’s a hard problem.
• Budget phones: Chinese players mostly use flagships. Going global means this needs to run on a 2022 budget Android too. Lightspeed’s still working on that.
• It’s ready, just not announced: People with ties to the Chinese esports scene say the global servers are already running. Riot is choosing a window, not debugging something.
• China National Finals: Riot reportedly waited for those to finish in December 2025. They finished. Still no announcement.

Riot hasn’t said a word publicly. Anna Donlon of VALORANT Studios only said they’re “taking time to get it right.”

Official Valorant Mobile Gameplay Trailer

Gameplay trailer hit April 21, 2025. Good watch to see how the touch controls and HUD actually sit on a phone screen. The April trailer was gameplay-focused. August 18, day before China launched, Riot and BBNO$ dropped “Bring It All”, a music video they put together for the China launch.

The trailer confirms a few things worth knowing: abilities are swipe-based, the minimap is repositionable, and ranked mode is in from day one. Riot showed both Android and iOS running it. No mention of a separate Valorant Mobile APK download outside the official app stores. Global players will get it through Google Play and the App Store when the time comes.

When Does Valorant Mobile Come Out in Each Region?

Wild Rift launched in phases too, not all at once. Here’s where I think Valorant Mobile goes first, based on Tencent’s existing markets and where Valorant PC already has players:

1. Southeast Asia: Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam. Tencent already has game distribution in all these countries. Mobile gaming is huge there. First in line.
2. East Asia: South Korea and Japan. South Korea especially. Huge Valorant PC ranked scene. Those players will want in.
3. North America and Europe: Same wave as SEA probably, or close behind. That’s where Riot makes most of its cosmetics money. They won’t delay long.
4. South America, Middle East, Africa: Later. Riot’s said worldwide is the goal. Takes longer to get regional servers running in these areas.

India: The Valorant Mobile India release date is also unconfirmed. India’s government banned PUBG Mobile over its Tencent ties. BGMI eventually came back as a local version. Riot hasn’t said anything about the India launch specifically. Given the size of India’s mobile gaming market, it would be a strange country to skip, but nobody has concrete information yet.

How to Pre-Register for Valorant Mobile in 2026

March 2026. No global sign-up page exists. When Riot launches it, their official accounts post first, then Google Play and the App Store in your country get the pre-register button. No third-party APK, no side-loading. Just the official stores.

A few things worth doing before it drops:

• Follow Riot’s official VALORANT channels X, YouTube, Instagram. You will see it there first.
• Set a Google alert for “Valorant Mobile pre-registration” so it hits your inbox right away
• Do not click third-party “sign up for global beta” links. None of them are real. They are either collecting emails or they are scams.

Some players have accessed the Chinese version through a VPN. It needs a WeChat or QQ account and Riot does not sanction it. Accounts have been flagged for it. With the global version likely coming this year, not worth messing with.

Valorant Mobile Agents and Maps at Launch

China launched with 18 agents and 9 maps. The global version is expected to ship with the same roster and maps.

Agents included at launch: Brimstone, Jett, Phoenix, Sage, Sova, Viper, Cypher, Reyna, Killjoy, Breach, Omen, Raze, Skye, Yoru, Astra, Chamber, Neon, Iso.

Agents not yet in mobile: KAY/O, Fade, Harbor, Gekko, Deadlock, Clove, Vyse, Tejo, Waylay. Riot will add them post-launch the way they rolled out new agents on PC. The Valorant agent release order shows that history.

Maps: 7 from the PC version, plus two Deathmatch maps exclusive to mobile: Shipyard and Ancient Village. Ten game modes at launch.

Lightspeed built this for budget hardware. 3 to 4 GB RAM is enough. Got a 2022 or 2023 phone? It’ll run.

Phone 3 years old or newer? You’ll clear the minimum. Ranked? Use the recommended specs. Frame rate is what counts in a shooter, not how it looks.

How Valorant Mobile Differs from the PC Version

Lightspeed built it from scratch, not a port. Core gameplay is the same Valorant. Phone controls just work differently.

• Match length: PC can go 40 minutes. Mobile’s targeting 15 to 20. Economy and rounds got shortened for that.
• Controls: Swipe to cast abilities. Every HUD button is movable. Some buttons also change function depending on the situation, like jump turning into a peek when you need it.
• Replay system: China launched with full replay and death recap built in. PC players asked for this for years. Mobile has it from day one.
• Training mode: Jump-peek drills and similar stuff. PC doesn’t have anything like this as a built-in feature.
• Cross-play with PC: None. Riot confirmed it. Phone vs phone only.

I dug through r/VALORANT threads from players who tried the China version on VPN. Most said the gunplay translated better than they expected. First 10 to 15 hours on touch controls were rough though. PUBG Mobile players adjusted fastest. Pure PC players took about a week.

Check the Valorant player count and Valorant tier list while you wait. Maps, agents, callouts are all identical between PC and mobile. You won’t need to relearn any of it.

Valorant Mobile China Launch Numbers

Why a global launch is coming:

• 60 to 70 million pre-registrations before August 19, 2025
• 170,000 downloads and $1 million in revenue in the first 24 hours
• Hit number 1 on the iOS download chart in China
• Sixth most-downloaded mobile game globally that week
• 50+ million monthly active users by Q3 2025. Tencent’s earnings that quarter were up 15% and they pointed to Valorant Mobile.
• Riot and Tencent put 1.5 billion RMB (about $165 million USD) into building mobile esports in China

Tencent’s Q3 showed the servers held up fine. Riot doesn’t have a broken product to fix. They’re just waiting for their moment.

How to Get Ready Before the Global Launch

Riot can go from announcement to live downloads in days. Four things worth doing now:

1. Riot account. Wild Rift, League, Valorant all use the same login. Make sure your email still works and Riot ID is set. If you’re planning to buy skins when the store goes live, check the Valorant Points price guide.
2. Clear storage. 10 to 16 GB minimum. Updates and content stack up fast. Clear the space now.

4. Check your phone. Compare it to the tables above. On the edge of minimum? Close background apps before queuing. Helps.
