Marvel Rivals System Requirements and Recommended Specs

Marvel Rivals system requirements on PC start at an Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X, 16 GB of RAM and a GTX 1060, RX 580 or Arc A380. NetEase recommends an i5-10400 or Ryzen 5 5600X with an RTX 2060 Super, RX 5700 XT or Arc A750. Both tiers need Windows 10 64-bit, DirectX 12 and 70 GB of storage.

Marvel Rivals system requirements: minimum and recommended
These are the official numbers from the game’s Steam store page, checked in October 2026. They haven’t changed since launch in December 2024, even though the game has added a lot of heroes and maps since.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 64-bit (1909 or newer) | Windows 10 64-bit (1909 or newer) |
| Processor | Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X | Intel Core i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X |
| Memory | 16 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics | NVIDIA GTX 1060, AMD RX 580 or Intel Arc A380 | NVIDIA RTX 2060 Super, AMD RX 5700 XT or Intel Arc A750 |
| DirectX | Version 12 | Version 12 |
| Network | Broadband internet | Broadband internet |
| Storage | 70 GB, SSD recommended | 70 GB, SSD recommended |
Notice the RAM line. 16 GB is the floor in both columns, so NetEase doesn’t treat it as a nice-to-have.
Got 8 GB?
The game may still launch on 8 GB, but that’s below anything NetEase supports, and you’d be troubleshooting on your own (support will point you to the spec sheet first).
Can my PC meet the Marvel Rivals system requirements?
If your graphics card is a GTX 1060 or newer and you have 16 GB of RAM, probably yes, at lower settings. The quickest check is to compare your parts with the minimum column above.
On Windows, press Win + R, type dxdiag and hit Enter. The System tab shows your processor, memory and Windows version; the Display tab shows the graphics card. That’s all it takes. Compare, and you’ll know in a minute. Easy, right?
Thing is, “minimum” in a competitive shooter means the game runs, not that it runs well. Matching the recommended column is a much safer target if you play ranked, where a frame drop during a big ultimate can cost the fight. Want a sense of how competitive the ladder gets, and how many players you’re up against at each tier? Our Marvel Rivals ranks guide breaks it down.
Is an SSD part of the system requirements for Marvel Rivals?
It isn’t strictly required, but NetEase recommends one in both tiers. Put simply, an SSD cuts loading times between matches and helps with texture streaming on bigger maps.
Also leave room beyond the listed 70 GB. Seasonal patches add new heroes, maps and skins (several of each, most seasons), and updates usually need extra free space while they download and unpack. On a nearly full drive, the patch can fail before it even starts.
Space is cheap. Failed patches aren’t.
Which platforms is Marvel Rivals on?
Marvel Rivals is free to play on Windows PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X|S, according to the download options on the official site. There’s no macOS or native Linux version, and no Xbox One or Nintendo Switch release.
| Platform | Available | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Windows PC | Yes | Steam, Epic Games Store, NetEase launcher |
| PlayStation 5 | Yes | PS5 Pro listed on the official site |
| PlayStation 4 | Yes | Separate PS4 version |
| Xbox Series X|S | Yes | No Xbox One version |
| Steam Deck | Playable | Valve rating: some text is small and the default controller layout needs tweaks |
| macOS, Linux | No native version | Steam lists Windows only |
The game supports cross-platform play, and Steam lists full controller support, including DualShock and DualSense pads on PC. Console players don’t need to think about specs at all, which is honestly the easier route if your PC sits below the minimum.
Does Marvel Rivals run on Steam Deck?
Yes. Valve rates it “Playable”, one step below “Verified”. The game runs at acceptable performance on default settings, per Valve’s test, but some on-screen text is hard to read, the on-screen keyboard doesn’t pop up by itself for text fields, and the default controller setup isn’t fully functional, so expect to adjust a few bindings.
Before you install anything, make sure you have an account sorted.
