Demonic Skins

All 5 skins in the Demonic skinline. Browse splash art, chromas, and detailed reviews for every Demonic skin in League of Legends.

Demonic skins have this specific energy that sits somewhere between Saturday morning cartoon villain and actual hellfire nightmare. Been playing League since season 2 and this skinline is one I keep coming back to when I want something that looks mean without going full edgelord. Five skins total, stretching from 2012 all the way to 2020. Not a huge roster but every single one hits a different flavor of demonic. Riot didnt spam releases here and honestly that restraint works in the line's favor.

What Makes the Demonic Line Stand Out

Not gonna lie, the thing that ties Demonic skins together isnt a shared color palette or matching VFX template. It's the attitude. Every skin in this line takes a champion and asks "what if they were literally from hell?" The execution varies wildly between entries though. Gatekeeper Galio goes full biblical demon guardian with massive horns and a dark throne recall. Little Devil Teemo leans comedic horror. Demon Vi is more straightforward bruiser-from-the-underworld energy.

Visually you get a lot of reds, deep purples, and fire effects across the board. The splash arts share this smoky atmosphere thing where the background feels like it's melting. Specific detail that stands out: every Demonic skin has some form of glowing eyes or facial markings that read clearly in-game even at the default camera distance. Smart design choice.

Compare this to something like Infernal which goes pure fire elemental, or Blood Moon which pulls from Japanese demon mythology. Demonic sits in its own lane. More Western devil imagery. Horns, pitchforks, bat wings, the whole classic package but filtered through League's art style so it never looks generic. Could be wrong here but I think the variety in tone is what keeps the line fresh across eight years of releases. You got your serious entries and your playful ones coexisting without it feeling disjointed.

(Random aside: the Demonic splash arts make surprisingly good desktop wallpapers if you crop them right. Been rotating Gatekeeper Galio as my second monitor background since like 2019.)

The VFX work differs by tier obviously. Gatekeeper Galio being Legendary means full particle overhaul, new VO, the works. The Epic skins get new particles and models but keep base voice lines. Standard for the price point. No complaints there. What I appreciate is that even at 1350 RP the Demonic Epics dont phone it in on the thematic commitment. Every ability feels like it belongs to the skin, not just a recolor slapped onto existing animations.

Best Demonic Skins Worth Your RP

Gatekeeper Galio. Full stop. This is the crown jewel of the Demonic line and honestly one of the better Legendary skins from that era. Released back in 2012 when Legendary skins were still finding their identity, and it holds up remarkably well post-Galio rework. The VO is menacing without being cringe, the abilities feel heavy with those dark energy effects, and the recall animation where he sits on a literal throne? Chef's kiss. Been spamming this in ranked whenever I get filled support or need a mid lane AP tank and the skin just commands respect in lane. 1820 RP and it earns every point.

Little Devil Teemo takes second place and might be controversial. I know people who hate this skin on principle because its Teemo. Fair. But from a pure skin quality perspective the execution is clean. The mushrooms turning into little devil traps, the Satan Teemo meme made canon by Riot themselves. Played against one last Thursday in a Diamond game and even getting tilted by shrooms I had to respect the visual design. The recall where he sits on a tiny throne mimicking Gatekeeper Galio is a nice internal reference too.

Little Demon Tristana rounds out my top three. Kinda feels like Riot took the "yordle devil" concept from Teemo and asked what happens when you give it to an ADC with actual range. The W animation with the demon wings spreading during Rocket Jump looks clean in teamfights. Her E bomb getting the demonic treatment works thematically. Solid pickup for Tristana mains who want something different from the Dragon Trainer or Firefighter options.

Little Devil Fizz is good not great. The shark ult becoming a demon fish is funny the first ten times, then you stop noticing. Demon Vi suffers from being an early entry without much to differentiate it from her base kit visually at lower settings. Not bad skins by any means. Just not the standouts.

Might be overthinking it but I'd rank the full line: Gatekeeper Galio > Little Devil Teemo > Little Demon Tristana > Little Devil Fizz > Demon Vi. That Legendary carries hard.

The Demonic Champion Roster

Five champions. Small lineup. Galio, Teemo, Tristana, Fizz, and Vi. What's interesting is three of those five are yordles. Riot clearly saw something in the contrast between cute small champions and demonic themes. It works honestly. The juxtaposition between Teemo's tiny frame and literal devil horns created one of the most iconic skin concepts in League history.

Galio fits the theme naturally. Big stone guardian turning into a big stone demon. The visual translation is straightforward and thats why it works so well. No mental gymnastics needed. Vi as a demon brawler also makes sense given her aggressive playstyle and personality. She's already punching things into walls, adding hellfire to that just feels right.

Real talk though, Fizz is the one that feels slightly forced. Playful trickster fish turning into playful trickster devil fish? The thematic shift is minimal. He's already annoying to play against, the demon angle doesnt add much narratively. Still a fine skin for what it is. Just not the strongest thematic fit in the line.

Who should get a Demonic skin next? Been thinking about this since season 10 or something. Veigar is the obvious pick. Tiny yordle, already has the evil mage thing going, would complete the yordle devil squad. Mordekaiser could work for a more serious entry. Evelynn basically IS a demon in lore already so that's almost too easy. (Sidebar: surprised Riot hasnt done Demonic Evelynn considering her entire character concept, might be too on-the-nose I guess.)

Tier and Price Breakdown

One Legendary at 1820 RP. Four Epics at 1350 RP each. Simple lineup. The Epics do the heavy lifting in terms of quantity but Gatekeeper Galio is the skin people think of when you say "Demonic skinline." That single Legendary defines the whole collection's identity.

Price range of 1350 to 1820 RP means you're looking at decent value across the board. No budget 520 RP entries dragging the average down, no Ultimate tier pricing either. Every skin in this line gives you new model, new particles, new recall at minimum. For the Legendary you get new VO on top. Standard stuff but consistently executed.

Maybe just my experience but the Epics feel like they punch above their weight class here. Little Devil Teemo in particular has enough personality in his animations that he reads almost like a budget Legendary some games. The recall animations across all five skins are strong. Riot put effort into those and it shows during those few seconds between deaths in a rough ranked game at 2 AM.

Not sure if it's just me but I feel like the Demonic line never got the event treatment or a big marketing push. These skins dropped individually or in small batches over eight years. No Demonic event pass, no prestige editions, no borders. Just skins. There's something refreshing about that compared to modern skinline launches where everything comes bundled with missions and tokens and exclusive chromas.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many Demonic skins are there?

Five Demonic skins total as of 2024. The line started with Demon Vi back in 2012 and the most recent addition was Little Devil Fizz. Not a huge collection but every entry is at least Epic tier quality so theres no filler. Riot spaces these out pretty far apart, sometimes years between releases.

What is the best Demonic skin?

Gatekeeper Galio and it's not close. Legendary tier with full VO, unique particles on every ability, and one of the best recall animations from that era. Been running it in ranked for years. Little Devil Teemo takes second place if you're into the comedic demon angle. Both worth the RP for mains.

Which champions have Demonic skins?

Galio, Teemo, Tristana, Fizz, and Vi. Three yordles and two non-yordles. Interesting split. Galio's Gatekeeper skin is the only Legendary in the bunch while the rest sit at Epic tier. Each champion brings a different take on the demon fantasy from comedic to intimidating.

Does Demonic have Legendary skins?

One Legendary: Gatekeeper Galio at 1820 RP. Full voice over replacement, completely new ability VFX, unique recall and animations. It's from 2012 but got updated with the Galio rework so it still feels modern. The remaining four Demonic skins are all Epic tier at 1350 RP each.

When did the Demonic skinline release?

First Demonic skin dropped in 2012 with Demon Vi. The line expanded slowly over the years with the most recent release landing in 2020. Eight year span for five skins which means Riot treats this more like an occasional thing rather than a yearly event line. No set release schedule.

Are Demonic skins worth buying?

Depends on the specific skin and whether you main the champion. Gatekeeper Galio is a strong buy for any Galio player. Little Devil Teemo is worth it if you enjoy tilting opponents with the Satan Teemo meme. The others are solid Epics but not must-haves unless you one-trick those champs. No bad skins in the line though.

Do Demonic skins have chromas?

Some of the newer Demonic skins have chromas available. Little Devil Teemo and Little Demon Tristana both got chroma sets. The older entries like Demon Vi and Gatekeeper Galio launched before chromas were standard practice. Check each skin's individual page for specific chroma availability and color options.

Will Riot make more Demonic skins?

Hard to say for certain. Riot hasn't announced new Demonic skins but the line has never been officially retired either. Given the gap between releases historically, a new batch could drop any patch cycle. Community regularly requests Demonic skins for champions like Veigar and Evelynn so theres definitely demand. Could see it happening around a Harrowing event.
