Rumble Skins

6 skins available

Rumble is one of those champions where the skin catalog tells a weird story. Six skins total across twelve years, and somehow Riot managed to make one of the best Legendaries in the entire game for a champion that barely shows up in most ranked lobbies. Been a Rumble player on and off since season 3, and honestly the skin situation is better than it has any right to be for a yordle who rides a mech. Not sure if it's just me but every time I lock in Rumble I feel like the only person on the Rift who still remembers he exists. Small roster, big quality though.

How Rumble's Skin Collection Shaped Up Over the Years

Six skins. Thats it. From 2011 to 2023, Rumble picked up six cosmetics and then Riot seemingly forgot about him. For a champion released in April 2011, that averages out to roughly one skin every two years. Compare that to someone like Lux or Ezreal and it feels almost criminal. But here's the thing: the quality-to-quantity ratio on Rumble's catalog is genuinely impressive.

The breakdown goes like this. Two Standard tier skins from the early days, three Epics that each bring something different, and one Legendary that still holds up as one of the best in the game. No Mythics, no Prestige editions, no Ultimate. Riot clearly doesnt see Rumble as a cash cow and I get it. His pick rate in ranked has never been high enough to justify the investment.

Rumble in the Jungle and Bilgerat Rumble were the first two, both dropping in 2011-2012 when skin standards were basically "new texture, ship it." Then nothing until 2014 when Super Galaxy Rumble landed and changed the entire conversation. After that it was silence again until Badlands Baron showed up in 2018. Space Groove in 2021 and Cafe Cuties in 2023 round out the collection. Twelve years, six skins, and at least three of them are genuinely worth owning.

(Random aside: Rumble mains are some of the most loyal one-tricks I've ever seen in Diamond. Could be wrong here but I think the small skin pool actually makes us more attached to the ones we have.)

The year gaps tell the real story. 2014 to 2018 was four years of nothing. Then 2018 to 2021 was another three-year drought. Riot treats Rumble like that friend you only text when you need something. Shows up, drops a skin, disappears for half a decade. Season after season of waiting. At least when they do release something for him, they put actual effort into it.

Best Skins for Rumble

Super Galaxy Rumble. Full stop. If you play Rumble and you dont own this skin, I genuinely dont understand what you're doing. Released in 2014 at 1820 RP, this Legendary completely transforms the champion. New model, new VFX on every ability, new voice lines, new animations. The Q flamethrower becomes this massive energy cannon that feels heavier and more impactful than base. His W shield gets a proper mech barrier visual. The E harpoons turn into rocket-style projectiles that actually look like they'd hurt.

But the ult. Man. The Equalizer in Super Galaxy is one of the most satisfying ability VFX in the entire game. The rockets come down with this anime-style impact effect and the zone looks like a genuine orbital strike. Been spamming this in Diamond for years and it never gets old. The recall animation where he does the Gurren Lagann pose is peak fan service. Riot knew exactly what they were doing with this one.

Badlands Baron Rumble sits at 1350 RP and honestly punches way above its weight class. The Mad Max post-apocalyptic aesthetic works perfectly for a yordle riding a junky mech. His Q spews actual fire instead of the techy flame, the E shoots these rusty harpoon bolts, and the whole skin has this gritty desert warfare feel. Played maybe 40 games with this one last season and it felt clean in teamfights. The VFX read well against the Rift backdrop, which matters more than people think when you're trying to zone with R in a chaotic dragon fight.

Space Groove Rumble is the fun pick. 1350 RP, released 2021, and it turns the mech into a disco-themed ride. Kinda feels like Riot made it specifically for ARAM enjoyers. The Q shoots rainbow-colored flames and the whole skin has this groovy 70s vibe that I cant take seriously in ranked. But in normals? Perfect. The ult zone becomes this funky dance floor effect. Not the most competitive-feeling skin but it makes you smile.

Cafe Cuties Rumble surprised me honestly. 1350 RP and the newest skin in the roster from 2023. The mech becomes a coffee machine and the Q sprays steam or hot coffee or something. Cute concept. Not sure if it fits Rumble's angry yordle fantasy but the execution is solid. Might be overthinking it but this one feels like Riot testing whether Rumble can sell outside his usual audience. The VFX on E are crisp and the ult zone has good visual clarity.

Rumble in the Jungle is the budget classic. 975 RP from way back in 2011. The mech becomes a tiki-themed contraption and honestly for a twelve-year-old skin it still looks decent in-game. No new VFX obviously, just a model swap, but sometimes simple works.

Skinlines and Themes That Actually Fit Rumble

Rumble appears in six different skinlines and the thematic range is wild. You've got Super Galaxy which is basically a mecha anime tribute. Road Warrior (Badlands Baron) which is post-apocalyptic survival. Space Groove for the disco era. Cafe Cuties for the cozy aesthetic. Bilgewater for the pirate theme. And Legacy for the jungle tiki vibe.

The ones that work best are Super Galaxy and Road Warrior. No contest. Rumble is a yordle who built a mech suit out of scrap to fight people bigger than him. That scrappy underdog energy translates perfectly into the anime mech pilot fantasy and the wasteland survivor theme. Both feel like natural extensions of his character.

Space Groove is fun but its a stretch. Same with Cafe Cuties. Not gonna lie, when Cafe Cuties was announced I thought it was a joke. A coffee machine mech for the angriest yordle in Bandle City? But Riot committed to it and the result is at least charming. Still feels like a mismatch though. Real talk, Rumble's kit is all about aggression and zoning with fire. Cute themes fight against that identity instead of enhancing it.

(Sidebar for Rumble mains specifically: the Super Galaxy skinline is basically Rumble's home turf. He's the poster child for that line and it shows in the quality. Nobody else in the Super Galaxy set got the same level of attention.)

If Riot ever does a Battlecast or Mecha Kingdoms Rumble, that would be an instant buy from me. The champion screams for more mechanical and industrial themes. Season 13 I was hoping for something in the Shan Hai Scrolls line but it never happened. Maybe next year. Probably not though.

Budget vs Premium: Where to Spend Your RP on Rumble

The price range on Rumble skins goes from 520 RP for Bilgerat all the way up to 1820 RP for Super Galaxy. Pretty standard spread but the value distribution is interesting.

If you can only buy one skin, buy Super Galaxy Rumble at 1820 RP. Not even close. It's one of those Legendaries that genuinely transforms the champion experience. Full Legendary price and it earns every point of RP. The new voice lines alone are worth it. Been daily driving this since like season 5 and still havent gotten bored.

Best value pick for budget players? Rumble in the Jungle at 975 RP. No new VFX but the tiki mech model is charming and it's been around long enough to feel like a classic. Bilgerat at 520 is technically cheaper but it looks dated even by 520 standards.

The three Epics at 1350 each are all solid. Could be wrong here but I'd rank them Badlands Baron first, Cafe Cuties second, Space Groove third. Badlands has the best visual clarity for competitive play. The gritty aesthetic reads clean in lane and in teamfights around objectives. If you're climbing ranked with Rumble, Badlands Baron or Super Galaxy are your best options. The flashier skins are fun for normals but readability matters when you're trying to land a perfect Equalizer in a late-game teamfight around Baron pit at 2 AM on a Tuesday.

Six skins means the collection is manageable. You could realistically own all of them without breaking the bank. But if I had to pick three: Super Galaxy, Badlands Baron, and whichever Epic matches your vibe between Space Groove and Cafe Cuties. Clean lineup for a champion who deserves more attention from Riot.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many skins does Rumble have?

Rumble has 6 skins total as of 2023. Small roster compared to most champions but the quality is there. Two Standard tier, three Epics, and one Legendary. Riot hasn't given him anything since Cafe Cuties dropped in 2023 so we're probably due for something eventually. Not holding my breath though.

What is the best Rumble skin?

Super Galaxy Rumble. Not even debatable in my opinion. It's a Legendary at 1820 RP with new everything: model, VFX, voice lines, recall animation. Basically a different champion. Been running this in ranked for years and it still feels fresh. The anime mech theme fits Rumble perfectly.

What is the cheapest Rumble skin?

Bilgerat Rumble at 520 RP. It's a basic model swap from 2012 with no new VFX or animations. Looks pretty dated honestly. If you want cheap but decent, Rumble in the Jungle at 975 RP is the better budget pick. The tiki mech model holds up better than Bilgerat's pirate theme.

Does Rumble have a Legendary skin?

Yeah, one. Super Galaxy Rumble at 1820 RP, released 2014. Full rework treatment with new model, animations, voice lines, and VFX on every ability. Widely considered one of the best Legendaries Riot ever made. The Gurren Lagann inspiration is obvious and it works perfectly for the champion.

What skinlines is Rumble in?

Six skinlines total: Super Galaxy, Road Warrior (Badlands Baron), Space Groove, Cafe Cuties, Bilgewater, and Legacy. The mech and post-apocalyptic themes fit him best. Space Groove and Cafe Cuties are more playful takes that work in normals but feel weird in ranked. Good variety for only six skins.

Does Rumble have chromas?

Some of his Epic skins have chromas. Badlands Baron, Space Groove, and Cafe Cuties all got chroma sets when they released. Super Galaxy and the older Standards dont have chromas though. Fair enough since the Legendary already looks perfect and the old skins are too basic for chroma treatment.

When was Rumble's last skin released?

Cafe Cuties Rumble in 2023. Before that it was Space Groove in 2021 so there's been a two-year gap each time. Knowing Riot's cadence with low pick-rate champions, we might not see another Rumble skin until 2025 at the earliest. Could be longer honestly. The wait is real.

Is Rumble worth buying skins for?

If you main him, absolutely. Super Galaxy alone justifies the investment. Even casually, Badlands Baron at 1350 is a solid pickup. Rumble has a dedicated playerbase and his kit is unique enough that he never truly falls out of viability. One of those champions where mains stick around for seasons. Worth it.
