Milio Skins
3 skins availableMilio is one of the youngest champions in the game and his skin catalog reflects that. Three skins total. All Epic tier. Might sound thin on paper but honestly the quality here punches way above what you'd expect for a champ released in 2023. Been playing Milio as my go-to enchanter in Diamond since his launch and every skin they've dropped so far actually changes the feel of the kit. Not just recolors. Real visual work on the fire particles, the W shield aura, the R cleanse burst. For a support with relatively simple animations, Riot gave him surprisingly detailed cosmetics across the board.

3 skinsHow Milio's Skin Collection Stacks Up
Three skins spanning 2023 to 2024. Thats a fast release pace for a newer champion. Faerie Court dropped alongside his release, Rain Shepherd came later that same year, and Winter Wonder closed out the early catalog in 2024. All three sit at Epic tier with 1350 RP price tags. No Legendary yet. No budget options either.
For context, most champions released in the last few years follow this pattern. Riot frontloads the skin releases to build the champion's cosmetic identity early. Could be wrong here but I think Milio benefits from this approach because each skin explores a completely different fantasy. You've got whimsical fae energy, cozy rain aesthetics, and holiday winter magic. Three very different directions.
The lack of a cheap 520 or 750 RP option means you're committing 1350 minimum if you want anything beyond the base skin. Standard for modern champions. Riot stopped making budget skins years ago and it shows in the newer rosters. Not a complaint exactly, just reality. Every Milio skin gets the full Epic treatment with new particles on Q, W, E, and R plus a unique recall animation.
Worth noting the base skin is actually solid on its own. Clean fire effects, readable abilities, good color palette. Some champions have base skins that feel like placeholders (looking at you, release Bel'Veth). Milio's default holds up. So when I say these three Epics are good, I mean they're competing against a base that already works well. That raises the bar.
Best Skins for Milio
Faerie Court Milio takes the top spot for me. Full stop. Been running this since his release week and the particle work on the W aura is gorgeous. The shield circle gets this shimmering fae dust effect that makes it obvious to your ADC where the safe zone is. Practical and pretty. The Q fireball becomes this butterfly projectile that reads cleanly in lane and in teamfights. R cleanse pops with golden sparkles. (Random aside: my duo partner who mains Jinx says the Faerie Court W circle is the only enchanter shield she can actually see during fights. Take that however you want.)
Splash art for Faerie Court is strong too. Captures the whimsical energy perfectly. Milio looks like he belongs in that skinline alongside Karma and Fiora. The recall animation has him playing with little fae creatures and its genuinely charming. Not gonna lie, I've let the full recall play out more times than I should in ranked games. Cost me a death or two.
Rain Shepherd Milio sits at a close second. Different vibe entirely. The whole aesthetic shifts to this rainy pastoral theme with softer blues and greens replacing the warm fire tones. Q becomes a water droplet projectile. W shield circle turns into a rain puddle effect on the ground. Feels cozy. Like playing support during a thunderstorm.
The E on Rain Shepherd is where it really shines though. The movement speed buff gets these little rain trails behind your ally and in a fast-paced engage comp you can actually track who has the buff active. Helpful in chaotic teamfights around dragon or baron. Played maybe 40 games with this one last season and the visual clarity surprised me.
Winter Wonder Milio rounds out the trio. Holiday themed. Snowflake particles on everything. The R cleanse becomes this burst of snow and ice which looks cool but I think the winter theme clashes slightly with Milio's core fire fantasy. Kinda feels like they had to stretch the concept. Still a solid skin and the recall where he builds a little snowman is adorable. But between the three, this one gets the least playtime in my rotation.
Honestly not gonna lie, ranking three Epics at the same price point comes down to particle preference more than anything. There's no Legendary with new voice lines or animations to blow the others away. Pure visual taste.
Skinlines and Thematic Fit
Faerie Court is probably the best thematic match for Milio's character. He's this young fire boy from Ixtal with a gentle supportive personality. The fae aesthetic amplifies that gentleness while keeping the magical element front and center. Faerie Court as a skinline has some bangers across the roster and Milio fits right in. Natural pick.
Rain Shepherd is a smaller skinline and I think that works in its favor. Less crowded. Milio doesnt have to compete with ten other champions for attention within the theme. The pastoral rain concept matches his protective support identity well. Shepherding your team, keeping them safe. The metaphor writes itself.
Winter Wonder is the holiday cash-in and everyone knows it. Not saying it's bad. The skin looks good. But Riot drops Winter Wonder skins every year and some feel more forced than others. Milio's version is on the better end of holiday skins because the particle swap to snow and ice at least creates visual contrast with his base fire kit. Some Winter Wonder skins barely change anything. This one commits to the theme.
If Riot ever puts Milio in a darker skinline I'd be curious to see how that plays. Maybe something like Coven or Winterblessed with more edge. His kit is inherently supportive and warm so flipping that could produce something interesting. Or it could miss completely. Hard to say.
Budget vs Premium for Milio
There is no budget option. Period. All three skins cost 1350 RP. No 520 or 750 tier skins exist for Milio and given Riot's current pricing strategy they probably never will. Modern champions launch with Epic skins and stay in that tier.
So the real question is which 1350 RP skin gives you the most value. Faerie Court wins here. Best particle work, strongest thematic fit, most distinctive recall animation. If you're only buying one Milio skin ever, Faerie Court is the one.
Rain Shepherd is the second buy if you want variety. Winter Wonder is seasonal and might feel weird to use in July. Though I've seen people rock Snow Day Bard year-round so maybe thats just me being weird about it. (Sidebar for enchanter mains specifically: having two skins in rotation keeps the champ feeling fresh when you're spamming ranked games on the same pick for weeks.)
Real talk though, the base Milio skin is genuinely good enough to use indefinitely. If you're climbing and 1350 RP feels steep, the default works fine. No shame in base skin. Played my first 50 Milio games on default before buying Faerie Court and never felt like I was missing out during that stretch.
No Legendary exists yet for Milio. When it drops, and it will eventually, that'll reshape this whole conversation. A Legendary with new voice lines and unique animations could easily become the definitive Milio skin. But as of season 14 we're working with three solid Epics and that's the full picture.
Playing Milio in Ranked
Quick tangent on actually using these skins in game. Milio is a backline enchanter. Your job is peeling for the ADC, keeping W uptime high, landing Q to disengage or set up picks, and holding R for the big cleanse moment in teamfights. Pretty straightforward kit but the execution ceiling is higher than people think.
Locked in Milio for about 80 games last split in Diamond and the biggest thing I noticed across skins is how differently the W aura reads depending on which cosmetic you're using. Faerie Court has the clearest visual. Rain Shepherd is slightly muddier in river fights because the blue tones blend with the water terrain. Winter Wonder has decent contrast on most maps but the Winterblessed Rift variant makes it harder to see. Small details that matter when your ADC needs to know exactly where to stand.
The Q skillshot also feels slightly different across skins. Could be placebo. Probably is placebo. But the Faerie Court butterfly projectile seems like it has a thinner visual profile than Rain Shepherd's water blob, and in lane against a Draven or Lucian who's trying to dodge your poke, the visual width of the projectile model might affect how they react. Maybe just my experience but I've had games on last Tuesday around 2 AM where opponents seemed to dodge Faerie Court Q less often. Small sample. Take this with a grain of salt but its something I noticed.
For the R, all three skins have good cleanse burst visuals. The one thing I'd flag is that Rain Shepherd's R can be slightly harder to see in bot lane if there's already a Nami or other water-themed champion on your team. Visual noise stacks up. Faerie Court's golden burst cuts through any comp's particle clutter. Season 13 I think was when I started paying attention to skin readability in teamfights and it's changed how I pick cosmetics for ranked.
Milio scales well into late-game as a utility enchanter. His ult alone can swing a fight. Having a skin that makes your abilities readable to your team is genuinely a micro-advantage in coordinated play. Not game-breaking. Just nice.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many skins does Milio have?
Three skins total as of 2024. Faerie Court, Rain Shepherd, and Winter Wonder. All Epic tier at 1350 RP. No budget skins, no Legendary yet. Pretty standard catalog size for a champion released in 2023. Expect more to drop over the next couple years as Riot builds out his cosmetic lineup.
What is the best Milio skin?
Faerie Court Milio. Best particle work, strongest thematic fit, cleanest ability readability in ranked. Been my go-to since launch. The W shield aura and Q projectile both look fantastic. Rain Shepherd is a close second if you prefer a cooler color palette. Cant go wrong with either honestly.
What is the cheapest Milio skin?
All three Milio skins cost 1350 RP. No budget options exist. Modern champions don't get 520 or 750 RP skins anymore. If you want a cheaper entry point, wait for the Your Shop rotation or hope for a sale. Otherwise its 1350 minimum across the board.
Does Milio have a Legendary skin?
Not yet. All three current skins are Epic tier. Given Milio's popularity as an enchanter support I think a Legendary is coming eventually. Probably within the next two years. When it drops with new VO and animations it'll likely become the best Milio skin immediately. Just a matter of time.
What skinlines is Milio in?
Three skinlines: Faerie Court, Rain Shepherd, and Winter Wonder. Faerie Court fits his gentle fire mage personality the best. Rain Shepherd goes for a cozy pastoral vibe. Winter Wonder is the holiday seasonal. Each takes his kit in a different visual direction which is nice for variety.
Does Milio have chromas?
Depends on the skin. Check each individual skin page for chroma availability and specific color options. Some of his Epics shipped with chroma sets at launch. The chromas mostly shift the color palette of his fire and particle effects. Worth browsing if you like customization on top of the base skin.
When was Milio's last skin released?
Rain Shepherd Milio and Winter Wonder Milio both dropped in 2024. Before that, Faerie Court came with his champion launch in 2023. So Riot's been putting out roughly one to two skins per year for him. Decent pace for a newer champ. Expect another sometime in 2025.
Is Milio worth buying skins for?
If you main him or play enchanter support regularly, yes. His skins actually change how abilities look and feel in game. Not just texture swaps. Faerie Court alone justifies the 1350 RP if you're spamming Milio in ranked. If you only play him occasionally, the base skin is solid enough to skip cosmetics entirely.
