So Brawl is back, and the meta is completely different from the first time Riot dropped it. If you’re wondering who to lock in, this LoL Brawl tier list has you covered. Jinx is still queen. Corki randomly became S+ tier this rotation (nobody saw that coming). Senna farms Mist Wraith stacks so fast in this mode that she hits like an ADC by minute 6. I went through the U.GG and OP.GG data, played about 50 Brawl games myself on Patch 26.8, and ranked every viable pick below.

Quick heads up: Brawl came back on March 4, 2026 and goes away April 28. You’ve got maybe two weeks left. The tier ranking below reflects the current rotation’s data, not what worked back in May 2025 when the mode first showed up. A lot changed. Hecarim and Rek’Sai are randomly popping off now, tanky engage champs pull more weight than before, and the AoE + reset meta is still strong but not the only way to win anymore.

What Is Brawl Mode in League of Legends?

Think Team Deathmatch, but in League. No towers. No inhibitors. No Nexus to hit. Riot threw all of that out and gave us a tight arena-style map called the Bandlewood with two side jungles. Each team gets 250 health points in a shared pool, and you’re trying to drain the other team’s pool to zero before they drain yours.

Three ways to chip that pool down. Kill a champion? That’s 5 points off their total. Kill an enemy minion? 1 point. Push one of your minions into their portal? Also 1 point. The minion stuff sounds like nothing, right? It’s not. I lost a game by 3 points last week because we ignored waves while chasing kills. Those 1-point ticks add up stupid fast in close matches.

You load into the game at level 3 with 1400 gold already in your pocket. Pick your champ, pick your runes, pick your summoners, done. Gold trickles in passively while you play, and the jungle camps on each side hand out buffs and bonus gold if you clear them. Most games are over in about 10 minutes, sometimes faster if one side gets rolled early.

One more thing. Riot added a comeback mechanic. If your team gets stomped and falls way behind, you get a revenge buff (more damage dealt, less damage taken). Blowouts are pretty rare because of this. I’ve been down 0-5 in kills at the start and still won off one good teamfight when the buff was active.

Everything in S+ has a 55%+ win rate right now. These champs are the reason your teammates instalock them before you can even hover. The LoL Brawl tier list hierarchy is pretty clear at the top, and these picks dominate regardless of what elo you’re playing at.

Jinx: Still the Brawl Queen

Jinx has sat at the top of every Brawl tier ranking since May 2025, and nothing changed this rotation. Why? Get Excited! passive. She kills one person, gets a massive speed boost, runs down the next target, kills them, gets the speed boost again. In a mode where 5 people are fighting in a small area, that chain-kill potential is absurd. I’ve watched Jinx players pick up 4 kills in a single fight purely off passive resets.

Rockets give her AoE damage on every auto attack. Flame Chompers (E) block off choke points so enemies can’t retreat. And her ult can snipe low-health targets from across the entire map. Go Kraken Slayer first into Runaan’s Hurricane. She’s squishy early (like first 3 minutes kind of weak), but after one completed item she just takes over fights.

Corki: Brawl Tier List Sleeper Pick

Corki came out of nowhere this rotation. During the first Brawl run in 2025, nobody played him. Now he’s S+ tier. Package delivery on a map this small is just unfair. He lands on you, you’re dead. The mixed damage (half magic, half physical) means you can’t just stack armor or MR against him. And mid-game, his burst combo with the special Valkyrie package into rocket spam straight up deletes squishies. First Strike as keystone makes him even more obnoxious because he’s always getting bonus gold from poke.

Senna: Infinite Scaling Machine

Senna is kind of broken in this mode and I don’t think enough people realize it. Her passive stacks off dead champions and minions, right? In Brawl, stuff dies CONSTANTLY. By minute 6, a Senna running the AD/Lethality build has so many stacks that her auto attacks hit from absurd range and chunk for 300+. She heals teammates too, so she’s pulling double duty. Go Eclipse into The Collector. Do not run the support build. You’re wasting her potential.

Fiddlesticks: Why He’s S+ on Every Brawl Tier List

This champion was literally designed for Brawl and nobody can convince me otherwise. Bandlewood has tight corridors? Check. Bushes everywhere in both jungles? Check. Enemies clumping up for teamfights every 30 seconds? Absolutely check. Fiddlesticks just sits in a bush, waits for the fight to start, and drops Crowstorm on all five enemies. Half of them die before they realize what happened. His drain keeps him alive through it all, and the scarecrow effigies from his passive give free vision so he always knows when to ult.

Miss Fortune: Press R, Win Fight

Bullet Time on this map is honestly unfair. Enemies HAVE to group for fights, and MF’s R just melts grouped targets. She clears minion waves with Q bounces too, so she’s pulling double duty on damage and wave control. Only real weakness? If the enemy team has heavy dive, Katarina or someone will just jump on her and cancel the channel. But when she gets a clean R off? Fight’s done. Walk away.

Ziggs: Long Range Siege Specialist

Nobody talks about Ziggs in Brawl discussions on Reddit, which is weird because the numbers say he’s S+ tier. He pushes minions into the enemy portal faster than basically any other champion, and each one of those minions is 1 free point of pool damage. His Q poke softens people up before the fight even starts. And Mega Inferno Bomb (R) either finishes off low targets from across the map or zones an entire area for 3 seconds. Dark Harvest is busted in Brawl. People die nonstop, you stack it for free, and by minute 8 you’ve got 25+ stacks on a champ like Brand. Any LoL Brawl tier list that doesn’t factor in rune choices is missing half the picture. On bruisers who want to brawl for extended fights, go Conqueror instead. Enchanters should stick with Summon Aery since the shield procs constantly when your ADC is taking damage every few seconds.

Summoner spells? Flash on literally everyone, no exceptions. Second slot is role-dependent. ADCs take Heal. Bruisers take Ghost (Darius with Ghost will haunt your nightmares). Mages and enchanters go Exhaust to survive assassin dives. And here’s a spicy one: Snowball/Mark is available in Brawl. It’s lowkey insane on Fiddlesticks and engage tanks like Malphite because it closes the gap before they ult.

S Tier on the Brawl Tier List: Strong Picks

These champs sit just below S+ but don’t sleep on them. Some of these picks carry harder than S+ tier if you actually know what you’re doing with them.

Darius: The Dunk Master of Brawl

When Darius gets five Hemorrhage stacks on someone in a teamfight, you just know what’s coming. R for the dunk, kill, passive resets, R again on the next guy. I’ve been on both sides of this and a fed Darius running Ghost during the revenge buff phase is genuinely terrifying. He runs you down and there’s nothing you can do about it. Huge caveat though: if the enemy team has Jinx, Xerath, or any heavy kiting comp, don’t blind pick him. He’ll get kited to death before he touches anyone.

Lulu: Best Support on the LoL Brawl Tier List

Best support in Brawl and it’s honestly not even close. Polymorph (W) is the single most tilting ability for assassins to deal with. Katarina jumps in, starts spinning, Lulu presses W, Katarina is now a cute little critter doing zero damage. Same thing happens to Master Yi, Naafiri, anyone who relies on going all-in. Wild Growth (R) saves your carry from dying. Glitterlance (Q) slows people who try to chase. She personally deals like 3k damage total per game, but she keeps your Jinx alive, and that’s worth way more than picking another damage dealer.

Naafiri: The Pack Hunts in Brawl

If you want to play an assassin in Brawl but you’re not a mechanical god, Naafiri is your pick. Her packmates do the extra damage for you. W gives you a dash. R is a giant gap-closer with a fat shield on it. You jump in, the pack rips apart whoever you targeted, you walk out. The only real issue is when you fall behind early. At that point she feels useless. But passive gold income means she never gets COMPLETELY starved, so even a rough start doesn’t ruin her game entirely.

Katarina: Brawl’s Reset Queen

Brawl is a mode where people die every few seconds. Katarina’s entire thing is getting resets when people die. You see where this is going. Pick up a dagger, Shunpo, ult, someone dies, everything resets, do it again. I’ve seen more Katarina pentakills in Brawl than in my entire 4 years of playing Summoner’s Rift. But here’s the catch: she’s hard. Really hard. Mess up your entry timing or jump into the wrong spot and you’re just handing 5 free points to the enemy team.

A Tier on the Brawl Tier List: Solid but Situational

A tier is where things get comp-dependent. These champs aren’t bad at all, but you need the right teammates or the right matchup for them to really pop off. They’re lower on the LoL Brawl tier list because they’re inconsistent, not because they’re weak.

Malzahar might be the most slept-on pick in all of Brawl. E + W absolutely shreds minion waves, so he’s constantly pushing free damage into the enemy portal. And his ult? Point. Click. Suppressed. Nobody is buying QSS in a 10-minute game mode. You just R whoever your team calls, they die, fight won. Park yourself in the center lane, farm waves nonstop, and press R whenever it’s off cooldown.

Swain is a weird one. He doesn’t burst anybody. Like, ever. But in long messy fights where both teams are just brawling (fitting name), Swain turns on Demonic Ascension and becomes this unkillable drain-tank that refuses to die while doing constant AoE damage. His E pull into passive root sets up kills for his team. He’s at his best when the enemy doesn’t respect the sustained damage and stays in the fight too long.

Viktor gets his Hex Core upgrades weirdly fast in Brawl thanks to passive gold income. Once he hits upgraded E? Death Ray just erases minion waves and chunks grouped champions. Gravity Field (W) blocks off corridors on this tiny map, which is super annoying to play against. He does get blown up by assassins who gap-close on him, but if your team peels for him at all, Viktor pumps out consistent damage all game.

Master Yi is a coin flip. When he goes off, he GOES OFF. Alpha Strike resets, Highlander speed, pentakill highlight reel material. When he gets CC’d once? He just dies instantly and your team is 4v5. Only pick him when you see the enemy has like… Jinx, Ziggs, Senna, and no reliable hard CC. Against a team with Lulu or Malzahar? Don’t even think about it.

B and Below: Champions at the Bottom of the LoL Brawl Tier List

Ahri is… fine. She’ll charm someone, get a pick, dash away with Spirit Rush. Cool. But then you look at Brand hitting 3 people at once for the same amount of damage Ahri does to one target, and you realize why she’s B tier. She’s safe but she doesn’t carry. If your team already has enough damage and just needs someone who won’t feed, Ahri works. But she won’t win you the game on her own.

Yasuo. Yeah. You already know how this goes. Your Yasuo goes 0/5 before finishing a single item, blames the team in chat, then locks in Yasuo again next game. Look, Windwall IS genuinely good in Brawl since it blocks half the projectiles flying around. And his ult follow-up on knockups is sick. But 90% of Yasuo players in this mode int harder than they carry. If you’re actually good at Yasuo, he’s a solid B+ maybe. If you’re not? You’re grief-picking.

Teemo is a noob trap (pun intended). Shrooms need time to set up. Brawl doesn’t give you time. His damage also scales too slowly for games that end at minute 10. You’re basically trolling your team by picking him.

Kassadin needs level 16 to become a monster. Games end before he gets there. Skip.

I don’t care how good your individual picks are. If all five of you lock in squishy damage dealers with zero frontline, you’re going to lose. Happened to me last week. Full S+ team, no tank, got destroyed by a Malphite comp. The LoL Brawl tier list only helps if your draft actually makes sense together.

Nastiest comp I’ve faced so far? Malphite, Jinx, Ziggs, Lulu, Darius. Malphite presses R into all five of you. Lulu immediately polymorphs whoever survived the knockup. Ziggs and Jinx AoE the rest. If anyone’s still alive, Darius runs them down with Ghost and dunks. We tried to beat this comp three times in a row and couldn’t figure out an answer.

The tier rankings get you like 60% of the way to winning. The other 40% is just knowing how the mode works and not making dumb mistakes. Here’s what actually matters after a month of grinding this.

Minions Win Close Games

I know, I know. Killing champions is more fun. But hear me out. A full minion wave pushed into the enemy portal chips off 6-7 points. Champions with wave clear like Ziggs and Brand are generating pool damage even when they’re not getting kills. I tracked this over a few games and wave-focused champs were doing 40-50% of our total pool damage to the enemy team. Kills are loud. Minions are quiet. Minions win.

When both teams drop below 30 health and the game gets tight? Whoever controls the wave wins. Every single time. Kill enemy minions. Push yours. It’s not flashy but it’s how you close out games that go down to the wire.

Jungle Camps Are Free Power

Side jungle camps hand out gold and stat buffs. After a teamfight ends, send 1-2 people to grab them. Don’t let camps just sit there unclaimed. But also, don’t be the person farming gromp while your team is fighting 4v5 in mid. That’s a guaranteed way to lose 25 pool health in one go. Clear camps between fights, not during them.

Build for Early-Mid Game

Your game will probably end at minute 10. Maybe 12 if it’s close. That third item you’re building toward? You might never finish it. Prioritize items that spike early. The Collector on ADCs feels way better than Infinity Edge because you actually get to USE it before the game’s over. Liandry’s on mages. Trinity Force on bruisers. Don’t build for a 30-minute game that’ll never happen.

Don’t Forget to Recall

This isn’t ARAM. You CAN recall in Brawl. A lot of people forget this or just don’t bother. After a fight, if you’ve got 2000+ gold in your pocket, press B and go buy. The game auto-buys your items for you when you hit base, so it takes like 5 seconds. Sitting on unspent gold while fighting is basically playing with a stat disadvantage for no reason. Just. Press. B.

Respect the Comeback Buff

When the enemy team gets their revenge buff and they’re glowing? DO NOT fight them. Seriously. I threw a 60-point lead once because I forced a 5v5 into a revenge-buffed team and they wiped us. That buff makes the losing side deal noticeably more damage. Wait it out. Farm minions. Let the buff expire. Then go back in.

Brawl Map Positioning and Hidden Mechanics

Nobody ever talks about this, but where you stand on the Bandlewood map matters almost as much as who you pick. I spent about 20 games just paying attention to this and noticed some clear patterns.

Both side jungles are assassination zones. If the enemy has Fiddlesticks or Shaco, those bushes are death traps. Learned this the hard way. Walked into a bush as Jinx, instant Crowstorm, instantly dead. ADCs should stay in the center lane near the portal and just farm minions. Let your assassin or bruiser control one of the jungle sides. Never facecheck a bush alone. Ever. Even if you think it’s safe.

Here’s something I didn’t get until recently: minion waves actually cancel each other out if nobody touches them. They just crash in the middle and nothing happens. Zero pool damage for either team. But if you kill the enemy wave fast and let yours walk through? Each minion that reaches their portal is 1 point. Do that consistently and you’re dealing 30-40 pool damage over a 10-minute game just from wave control. In my close games (under 20 health difference), the team that managed waves better won almost every time.

Jungle camp buffs have a weird mechanic too. If your teammates help you clear a camp, the gold gets split between everyone who participated. But the actual buff only goes to one person. So you want to be smart about who gets what. Attack speed buff should go to your Jinx or whoever’s playing ADC. AP buff to the mage. Use pings. Or just tell people in chat. Most Brawl lobbies are chill enough to coordinate basic stuff like this.

The revenge buff. This thing has been the topic of so many Reddit arguments. From what I can tell after testing, it triggers when your team falls about 50 points behind the enemy. Suddenly the losing side does more damage and takes less. Here’s the play if you’re on the winning team: don’t fight into it. Just wait. Farm waves. Let the buff timer run out. I’ve seen teams throw 60-point leads because they got cocky and kept fighting into a buffed enemy. On the flip side, if YOUR team gets the revenge buff? Go all in immediately. That window is your best shot at a comeback.

Which Champions to Avoid in Brawl

These champs are at the bottom of every LoL Brawl tier list and it’s not even debatable. Don’t do it to yourself.

  • Teemo: Shrooms take ages to plant. Game ends before your minefield does anything. You’ll deal maybe 2k damage total while your Ziggs does 15k. Not worth.
  • Kassadin: His whole identity is being a level 16 monster. Brawl games end around level 12. He never comes online. Just a worse version of every other mage.
  • Yuumi: You’re turning the game into a 4v5 by sitting on someone. The person she attaches to gets slightly stronger but your team has one less body in fights. Math doesn’t work out.
  • Ivern: There’s no real jungle to play around in the traditional sense. Daisy is whatever. Half his kit does nothing on this map. Pick literally anyone else.
  • Ezreal: His poke is okay. His damage is not okay. Corki does everything Ezreal does but 3x better. Jhin does it better too. There’s just no reason to pick Ez when better options exist.

LoL Brawl vs. ARAM vs. Arena: Which Mode Is Right for You?

Brawl is the best “I have 15 minutes” mode in League right now. ARAM? You’re stuck with whatever random champion you get and praying your comp doesn’t suck. Arena is 2v2v2v2, totally different vibe, feels more like a fighting game than League. Brawl lets you actually pick your champion AND get into constant fights on a small map. It’s the closest League gets to Call of Duty Team Deathmatch, and that LoL Brawl tier list knowledge from above will give you an edge every single game.

Also, and this is important: Brawl doesn’t touch your ranked MMR. Zero impact. So if you want to try a new champ you’ve never played before, or test some weird off-meta build, Brawl is the place. No LP on the line. No tilt fuel.
