King Rammus is a truly unique skin, one of the earliest to grace League of Legends, released long before the game was officially launched.
This ultra-rare skin was exclusively given to players who took part in the closed beta phase of League of Legends, which ran from April until October 21, 2009. Since the beta was invite-only, only a select few were lucky enough to receive it. Once the beta ended, King Rammus was automatically granted to all participating accounts during the reset.
Because there was no skin code to trade or sell, King Rammus remains an exceptionally rare item tied permanently to these original accounts. If you missed the closed beta, your only chance to own this skin now is by purchasing an account that already has it.
The design pays homage to Bowser (also known as King Koopa) from the Super Mario series, featuring a distinct green shell reminiscent of the iconic villain. Given its early release, the skin does not include any new animations, sound effects, or particle changes – just a simple but effective retexture, which was common for skins from that era.
